Day care and OP procedures: done locally, home the same day

Many gynaecological and obstetric procedures do not need an overnight stay. At Sradha Women Care they are done at the clinic or as day care at a partner hospital, with the same doctor, and you go home the same day with a written note of what was done and what to expect. Out-patient services cover obstetrics, gynaecology and fertility.

Out-patient services

The clinic is an out-patient centre: consultation, scan, blood collection and minor procedures on one floor. Anything requiring anaesthesia or an operating theatre is arranged as day care at a nearby hospital where Dr. Sradhanjali is a visiting consultant.

Obstetric out-patient care

Antenatal visits, scans and tests, injections including anti-D and tetanus, iron infusions, and postnatal checks.

Gynaecology and fertility out-patient care

Consultation and scan, cervical screening, IUD insertion and removal, follicular tracking, hormone injections and treatment reviews.

Procedures at the clinic

Brief procedures done under local anaesthesia or none, in the clinic’s procedure room.

IUCD insertion and removal

Copper or hormonal IUD fitted or removed at the clinic; under anaesthesia at the hospital where the cervix is tight or the patient prefers it.

Injections and infusions

Iron infusion for anaemia, hormone injections for fertility treatment, and vaccinations in pregnancy – given at the clinic with observation afterwards.

Day-care procedures

Done under short anaesthesia at the partner hospital, with admission and discharge the same day.

Dilatation and curettage, polypectomy

D&C for incomplete miscarriage or bleeding; endometrial sampling; removal of polyps – often combined with hysteroscopy for a direct view.

Cervical biopsy and minor procedures

Colposcopy-directed cervical biopsy, treatment of abnormal smears, and minor vulval or vaginal procedures.

Follow-up and reports

Every procedure is followed by a review at the clinic, and histology or lab reports are shared on WhatsApp where possible and explained at the follow-up visit – you are never left to interpret a report alone.
